My name is Matthew Alt. I graduated from the Sauk Prairie High School in 1995 and attended Madison Area Technical College (MATC). I graduated from MATC in December of 1997 with an associate degree in Police Science.
I began my law enforcement career in April of 1997 with the Department of Natural Resources as a Park Ranger at Devil's Lake State Park. I was hired by the Sauk Prairie Police Department in September of 1998. In January of 1999 I had the opportunity to become the department's K-9 Officer.
I am a negotiator with the Sauk County joint Critical Incident Negotiations Team. I am also a certified child restraint seat inspector. I am currently the School Resource Officer in the Sauk Prairie School District.
I enjoy hunting, fishing, golfing, and motorcycling. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
