My name is Jerry Strunz. I graduated from Orfordville Parkview High School in 1987 and attended the University of Wisconsin Rock County Campus in Janesville Wisconsin. I completed my police academy training at the Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisconsin. I have attended numerous specialized training courses designed specifically for police officers and police administrators.

I began my law enforcement career in 1987 as a police, fire, and EMS dispatcher for the Village of Orfordville Police and Fire Departments. I was hired as a part-time police officer for the Village of Orfordville in 1988 where I served as an officer until February of 1990. I was hired by the Sauk Prairie Police Department in March of 1990. As a Sauk Prairie Police Officer I have had a wide variety of duties. I have been involved with the Sauk County Drug Enforcement Task Force since 1990, I served as the department's first K-9 officer, I was a field training officer, I was a CounterACT instructor, I was promoted to the position of Police Lieutenant in 1998, and promoted to Chief of Police in January of 1999. I am proud to be a part of the Sauk Prairie Police Department and consider myself lucky to work with such a dedicated and professional staff.

I am married and have a wonderful family. I enjoy many outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.
