Hi, I am Officer Jamie Wepking. I am a graduate of WesternWisconsin Technical College in La Crosse. There I received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. While attending this school I was a La Crosse Police Department Reserve Officer. I was also involved with the Police Science Club. This club was an extra curricular group that gave participants exposure to Law Enforcement related topics such as Weapons, Police K-9, building clearings, and etc.
After graduating from WWTC I started my career in Law Enforcement with the West Salem Police Department. In April of 2000, I started with the Sauk Prairie Police Department where I am proud to say I now call home. My current duty assignment is third shift.
While with the Sauk Prairie Police Department I have received numerous training opportunities. I have attended Basic Swat with the FBI, Crowd Control Tactics, Defense and Arrest Tactics Instructor, and many more. The high light of my training was attending the State Of Wisconsin Defense and Arrest Tactics course. I am now a state certified instructor for DAAT, and have had the opportunity to instruct at the Sauk County In-service training. I have also had the opportunity to testify as an expert witness on Use of Force.
When I am not at work I enjoy hunting, fishing and most any sport. My favorite past time is bow hunting. I also work part time at Professional Equipment in Deerfield, WI teaching self defense to security. If you ever have a question or comments, feel free to send me e-mail.
